The UNESCO World Heritage listed “Sacred City of Kandy” was established in the 14th century and is the second largest city in Sri Lanka. Kandy is venerated by Buddhists around the world and is visited by pilgrims throughout the year.
Temple of the Tooth itself deserves countless hours of discovery from cultural heritage to historic paintings and architecture.
Places like Peradeniya Botanical Gardens are rich in flora and fauna and you can spend an entire day being enchanted by more than 300 varieties of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palms trees.

2 Day Tour with one night stay

Day I

  • Depart from Colombo in the morning & leave for Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
  • Witness the feeding of baby Elephants and Elephants bathing and frolicking in the river after their meal
  • Proceed to your Kandy hotel
  • Late afternoon – witness a traditional Kandyan dance cultural show

Day 2

  • Check-out of your Kandy hotel
  • Visit the Temple of the Tooth where the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Lord Buddha is enshrined
  • Visit the Kandy Museum
  • Visit the Tiesh Gem Museum & Simulator Gem Mine
  • Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens
  • Return to Colombo to your hotel or drop to the airport
